What's In Our Soap

At Natural Misfit Soap Studio, we believe what goes on your skin matters just as much as what goes in your body. Every bar we craft is made in small batches using thoughtfully chosen, skin-loving ingredients — nothing unnecessary, nothing hidden.

Goat Milk (in select bars)

When we use goat milk, it's for good reason. Rich in alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), it gently exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal softer, smoother skin. Its natural fat content deeply moisturizes, while vitamins A, B2, B6, B12, C, D, and E nourish and support a healthy skin barrier. Goat milk's pH is also naturally close to human skin, making it exceptionally gentle — even for sensitive skin types. Look for it called out on individual product labels.

Mineral-Rich Botanicals

We incorporate mineral-rich clays, salts, and botanical extracts to enhance each bar's function and feel. These ingredients draw out impurities, soothe irritation, and deliver trace minerals that support skin health.

Skin-Nourishing Oils

Our soap bases are crafted with a blend of plant-based oils — such as olive, coconut, and castor — chosen for their ability to cleanse without stripping, condition without clogging, and create a rich, stable lather.

Essential Oils & Natural Fragrance

We scent our soaps with essential oils and skin-safe fragrance oils. No phthalates. No synthetic dyes. Just clean, intentional scent.

What You Won't Find Here

No sulfates. No parabens. No artificial colors. No fillers. Just real ingredients with a real purpose.

A Closer Look: Ingredients We Choose Not to Use

🔍 Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
BHT is a synthetic preservative that is fully legal in the United States and commonly used in cosmetics, soaps, and personal care products to extend shelf life. However, studies have raised concerns about its potential to disrupt hormones and its possible links to skin sensitization with prolonged exposure. While the FDA permits its use, we don't think "legally allowed" is the same as "good for you." We choose shelf life alternatives that don't come with those trade-offs.

A Note on Our Labels
